The photo-etched image was created from the microscopic image of nerve cells. The enlarged photograph was designed to be etched onto large panels of aluminum panels that will be placed in the lobby of the building.
The panel for the chemistry building has chemical symbols and models for common chemicals such as aspirin etched on.
